Your data lives where you live

Sovereignty-first architecture: data stays in client-designated jurisdictions. Verification happens locally. Cross-border movement is a client decision, not a vendor convenience.

The principle

If a verification protocol moves your data through a jurisdiction you don't control, your sovereignty over the data is conditional on that jurisdiction's behavior. LedgerWell's architecture is designed so verification computations can run in a location of your choosing — your servers, your jurisdiction, your control plane.

What this looks like in practice

Edge verification. Sensor pods, attestation workers, and verification routines run on hardware in your jurisdiction. Only signed attestations cross borders.
Cryptographic claims. What we publish to global counterparties is a claim ("X tons of biogenic carbon were sequestered at site Y on date Z"), not the underlying telemetry. The telemetry stays where you stay.
Counterparty negotiation. Receivers of attestations can validate the claim without seeing the data. Clients can extend to receivers, on their terms.

Sovereignty is not "we promise we'll handle your data carefully." Sovereignty is an architecture in which we cannot mishandle your data even if we wanted to.

Where we apply this

Carbon-verification (Ethiopia, Vermont, multi-state US), agricultural trade-finance, AI-documentation proof packs, financial-risk attestations. Available wherever a contract makes it economically viable; coverage expands as deployments mature.
